Contact Us

The String Project operates regularly during the University of Texas’ long semesters (fall and spring). During the summer and university holidays, mail and voice messages may be checked less frequently.

If you have questions regarding the status of an application on file, feel free to contact us. You should receive a message from us upon our receipt of the application, and you should also hear from us about once a year as we review and update our waiting list. If you move or change your contact information, including phone numbers or email addresses, please keep us informed, as you may be removed from the waiting list if we cannot find you within a reasonable period of time.

Our office is located in room 3.606 in the UT School of Music. The School of Music appears on campus maps as MRH, and can be found on Robert Deadman Dr. between the Law School and the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Free public parking is available in the area along Dean Keaton Dr., and parking is available for a fee in the San Jacinto parking garage; the garage’s Trinity Street entrance is located directly across the street from the music building’s west entrance. After 5:45 PM, many parking spaces on campus near the School of Music become available for free public parking. Not all spaces are available, though, and UT enforces parking regulations vigilantly; pay close attention to posted signs.
