Symposium on Musicians' PracticeAs a service to music teachers and students in the public schools of Texas, The Center for Music Learning annually presents a one-day symposium on practice in instrumental music. Individual practice is the mechanism through which performers develop the productive habits of musicianship, while increasing accuracy, strength, speed, fluency, and flexibility in the physical and intellectual skills of music making. The symposium illuminates the fundamental principles of effecting positive change in individual practice and developing reliable competence in the execution of musical skills.
